Going to start a list of what crafts everyone is thinking of doing to start off with when GW2 goes live. I think its going to be better if as a guild if each of us pick 2 main ones to focus on and give our spare mats to guild bank for other to use.

Just to give you an over view of which each does if you haven't look at them

Armorsmith - Heavy armour, talismans, runes, boxes (ie bags)
Artifcers - magical weapons (foci, staffs, scepters, tridents), sigils
Chef - food
huntsman - ranged weapons (harpoon guns, longbows, shortbows, pistols, rifles, torches and warhorns), sigils
Jeweler - jewelry (rings, necklaces), jewels
Leatherworker - medium armor, marks, runes, packs (ie bags)
Tailor - light armour, crests, runes, packs (ie bags)

I Plan to do jewel craft and Tailoring on my main (Ele) and Leatherworking and huntsman on my primary Ranger alt

I suggest though everyone buys the resource getting kits as its free XP and the materials will help the rest of the guild

I'm thinking leather/ huntsman on thief main, and weapon/ armour on guardian alt. But as you said, nothing is set in stone.

Not proud of it, but no matter which online game I played so far, I could never warm towards crafting. I am a big gatherer though.

I think I shall do Weapon smith, but I am unsure of what other craft to learn.Any suggestions?

P.S I will most likely be a thief.

EDIT: I think I will go leatherworker.

I don't know much about crafting at the moment but I guess i'll try weaponsmith and, as it only has two people doing it, a jeweller?
Tell me if I need to think about changing these. I'll read up on crafting later. I think my main will be a thief.

I have never got very far in crafting in any mmo, but I will try again in GW2 so I'll go with leather worker and weaponsmith

I'll be having 5 characters so I'll be doing all of them, if I had to choose what I would 'main' crafting wise it would probably be weaponsmithing and armorsmithing/tailoring

I'm also going to look into armorsmithing, but I'm not sure what else to pick.
You can count on me as a gatherer, since I usually gather everything I stumble upon
